It’s time to show your face, babe

I wanted to share a quick story with you.

Recently I had to research a new lawn service provider. I was so surprised to see that only a few of the companies used the About Us page to show photos and tell stories of the actual people working there! Majority of places used generic stock images all through out the website. You know which ones I called and scheduled an evaluation with? Yup, the ones with the actual photos of people.

Why do I share this story?

My simple example of real people photos on a service provider website helps illustrate just how important it is to humanize your brand. At the end of the day, we want to know who we are working with, and we want to work with real people. Not a perfectly curated collection of stock images (that we may have seen somewhere else, before).

Sounds familiar?

Same goes for sharing more of you on your social media. Not only does it make your brand more personable, it builds trust with your audience. Because YOU are the most important aspect of your brand.

So how can you show up consistently for your business? The best way to do it is to become more visible.

  • Start sharing more of your story, why you started your business, what makes your company unique. Help your audience get to know you. Not only will it humanize your brand, it will also help build trust.

  • Take pictures and share them! It can be as simple as sharing more of your daily life on your stories. Taking your audience with you when you go on trips. Sharing your wins and your struggles. But of course, scheduling brand photoshoots and sharing professional photos consistently is my favorite!

What are your biggest struggles with showing up consistently for your business? How can custom brand photography help you overcome that?
